Yoga Nidra | March 14 | 5:00pm
March 14 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation.”
Yoga Nidra involves no physical movement. The practitioner is lying down, (on a yoga mat on the floor, on a bed, or even in a recliner), with a teacher guiding the 35-to-40-minute session. The participant should be relatively assured of no distractions or interruptions and should refrain from eating just prior to the session. The practice draws our attention inward and may lead to a transformational experience of inner calm. Yoga Nidra is not recommended for people with some psychiatric conditions; please consult your healthcare provider about whether Yoga Nidra is right for you.
The Yoga practice is a recording of the instructor, and she is present live to assist and guide the participants. Live/synchronous attendance is required for participants.
Classes are free. Registration is required. Anyone who identifies as a professional or family caregiver is welcome.
